Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data matters to us. This policy explains which data we process when you visit this website. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). This English version is provided for convenience; in case of doubt, the German version applies.

2. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics or advertising services. We do not create user profiles. Fonts and images are stored on our own server, so no data is sent to services such as Google Fonts when you visit a page.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barrington Ave #1222, Los Angeles, CA 90049, USA). Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically stores technical information sent by your browser:

• IP address
• date and time of access
• page accessed
• browser and operating system

We need this data to run the website securely and reliably. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short time. The data may be processed on servers in the USA. Vercel is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally uses standard contractual clauses.

4. Contacting us

If you write to us, we only process your details in order to answer your enquiry. We do not pass them on to third parties and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed.

5. Donations

If you donate by bank transfer or TWINT, we receive your name, the amount and, where applicable, your address from the bank or TWINT. We use this information for bookkeeping, for donation receipts and, if you wish, to thank you. We keep the data for as long as statutory retention obligations require (usually ten years). The payment itself is subject to the privacy policy of your bank or of TWINT.

6. Links to other websites

The location maps on the project pages are our own graphics. Google Maps or other external sites only open when you click a corresponding link. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

7. Your rights

You may at any time request information about the data we process about you and have it corrected or deleted. To do so, write to Stiftung Hilfe für Armenien, Vordergasse 58, 8200 Schaffhausen. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

8. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
