Aygehovit Kindergarten and Water Supply – Norbert Neininger Kindergarten
Aygehovit, Tavush Province, north-eastern Armenia

In Aygehovit, in north-eastern Armenia, the Stiftung Hilfe für Armenien has carried out two further important projects alongside the day clinic: building a new water supply and completely renovating the kindergarten – today known as the Norbert Neininger Kindergarten, in honour of the foundation’s co-founder.
Clean water remains a major challenge in Armenia’s rural regions: in many villages it is available for only two to three hours a day, often at very low pressure. The new water supply brings a fundamental and lasting improvement for the local population.
The foundation invested around CHF 300,000 in the kindergarten. It is open not only to children from Aygehovit but also to families from the surrounding villages – a facility for the whole region.
